Lauren (she/they) joined LAANE as a researcher on the Don’t Waste LA Campaign in 2012, having previously been a LAANE intern and coalition member. In 2018, she became the director of LAANE’s Water Justice LA campaign, fighting for good union jobs, equitable access to clean and sustainable water for working-class communities and people of color, and public control of our water resources.
Prior to LAANE, Lauren worked on environmental justice, community planning, and education equity with organizations including Pacoima Beautiful, SAJE, and artworxLA.
