Throughout our 28 year history, LAANE has made it a priority to train the next generation of social justice activists and leaders. Many interns have gone on to work for other progressive social justice organizations – some have even become campaign directors at LAANE. Others have careers in the labor movement or serve in leadership roles in local government.
We believe in fair wages for all workers, including students, which is why we created the Beth & Julia Meltzer Internship Program, thanks to the generosity of Beth and Julia Meltzer.

The internship will be conducted with in-person elements. We are closely monitoring conditions and following CDC guidelines and recommendations to ensure the safety of our staff and incoming interns. It is LAANE’s policy that all staff and interns be both vaccinated and boosted. Hiring is contingent on providing proof of vaccinations and booster shots.
