Community Organizer, Quality Care Campaign
Ashley Gonzales graduated from Azusa Pacific University in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and a minor in Sociology. Before joining LAANE, she worked at Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE), where she fought for dignity and justice for hospitality workers alongside Unite Here Local 11. At UH Local 11, she built diverse committees in Santa Monica and Los Angeles to help provide community support for workers fighting for economic justice. Ashley grew up as a missionary kid in Quito, Ecuador, and was heavily involved in her community. She observed severe social injustices that embedded in her a deep passion for social justice and equity. Ashley is a passionate labor justice advocate and looks forward to having sincere conversations with others as we fight together for dignity and justice for our community!
